October Playgroup Change

The date of our October playgroup has changed to Saturday, October 8th.  We will also be meeting at 2:00 pm rather than 10:00 am, as we noticed that many of the little ones' nap times are midday!  Please see "upcoming events" for October details.  Looking forward to seeing everyone!

First Outing - Saturday, September 10th!

Just a reminder that our first outing will be this Saturday, September 10th!  We will be meeting at the town commons around 10:00am in Londonderry, NH, and will be walking to Mack's Apples to go apple picking!  Please see the "upcoming events" page for more detailed information!

There are a few parking spots at the town common, or you may park in one of the nearby parking lots. 
For those of you who may be arriving a little later, we will likely be walking to Mack's Apples around 11:00am, so we have time to hang out and meet eachother first.  As of right now, there is only one picking station open at Mack's Apples, so we will be going to whichever station is open that day!

Welcome to Saturday Explorers!

Thank you for finding us!  Saturday Explorers is a "traveling playgroup" for children with Down syndrome and their families.  We meet on the first Saturday of every month to play, socialize, and explore what New Hampshire has to offer!  Some months are spent at our "home base" having a quieter playgroup, and other months are spent on family outings around the state!

Saturday Explorers was created by two moms of little boys who have Down syndrome.  After their boys were born, they realized that there was a shortage of activities and support for children with Down syndrome and their families in their local area.  They decided to create a playgroup where children could come together to socialize, and parents could meet other parents who have experience raising a child with Down syndrome. 

Saturday Explorers welcomes children of all ages, as well as expectant parents.  We look forward to seeing you on our next adventure!
